Our young kids are "spoilt for choice" when it comes to movies.
Since the mainstream success of blockbuster movies like Shrek netting profits
of close to  $1 billion we shouldn't be at all surprised to see the animated movie industry now flooded with wanna-be's.

As a father of 2 girls, aged 3 & 6 yrs, it's truly disheartening to see what they try to serve to our unsuspecting
little ones.  I've had similar recurring bad experiences in sit-down restaurants where we'll order their meals from the "kiddies menu"
only to find when it arrives that all buns are stale and their food tastes like  :cr@p:  IME most restaurants see our younger ones as an
opportunity to serve their most stale and putrid stuff not only because their tastebuds have not matured, but because it's highly unlikely these kids will complain.

For most kids just being in a restaurant is an "outing" and they truly enjoy these "outings" so much that they won't complain... just so daddy can bring them again.
If you have kids I suggest you always taste their food, and if you can... stay away from the "kiddies menu."

Now back to the point of this thread...
The following movies are (for me) an example of what you may not want your kids to see:

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame (Disney Studios) -  this one has some seriously twisted adult/religious themes where a Catholic clergyman wrestles with feelings
of lust for a hot young gipsy girl.  This is not just "in passing" either since as the movie unfolds we see him break
out into song which is basically a plea to Mother Mary to forgive him for his sinful carnal nature.
What's more? There's quite some time devoted to this.
Way too much, if you ask me.

Barbie:  Any Barbie movie ever made!                -  Every little girl loves Barbie.  Now... there's nothing controversial about the Barbie movies,
but trust me... you don't want your little girls to see this because it's just an embarrassment of a franchise.
The stories and animation are not even worthy of a 10-second infomercial, but we have to subject our little girls
to nearly 60 minutes of this torture.  Why are parents putting-up with this  :cr@p:??  Or is it just me?

*It would be great if you guys could post your own examples of what movies we all should be avoiding for our kids.
