Stumbled upon this awesome little Dixon Learning Remote and was so impressed that I thought I'd let you all know about it too.
I have a Bose Wave Radio with the fixed button panel and no remote. I downloaded an app to my Saamsing phone, loaded the applicable remote profile and wallah, I could now control it from across the room - not ideal though.
On this pat Friday, whilst paying for stuff at my local CC, I see this little remote dangling behind the counter and thought: at only R30 it certainly is worth a try, so I added it to the purchase.
Got home, put batteries in (does not ship with batteries). Glanced at the manual and decided I don't need it.
Quickly programmed each button using my now programmed phone as the source.
Returned to the Bose and tested perfect - even from across the room - very impressed.
Then I removed the batteries (2 x AAA) to see if it would keep the codes. Tested after 10 second, all OK.
Then removed the batteries for more than an hour. Still all OK - now even more impressed!
Here's a pic of it, model number Dixon LM02:
I got mine for R30, but I see it was marked down from R40.
Just thought someone out there may also benefit from one of these. It does not have very many buttons, but they are large and easy to read, nice and responsive without any lag, easy to program and keeps the codes even when power is lost. It has a 'glow in the dark' Power button too.
Note: it does not ship with any codes. It is a dedicated Learning Remote only.
Did I also mention it is cheap? Now we can all own a Dixon and be proud of it
