I was just surfing the web, and came accross a review of a Krell Evolution 900. It seems a wonderful power amp, and the only fault the reviewer could find was the blue LED on the front shines too bright (!?). At the end, the price for the amp was listed at $20,000.
Twenty thousand dollars, for three channels of 400w of power.
I do not consider myself an expert, but I'd like someone to help me to understand how a power amp could cost this much money. This post is not sarcastic, it's not meant to diss the amp (I mean, I'd love to say "look at my $20k Krell monster"), I just do not understand what goes into this amp to make it that expensive.
