KEF Blade 2 and KEF Reference 5 on Primare electronics and New B&W 802/803 (not sure ,they look the same ...  :BWAHAHAH: on Classe electronics at a "shoppie" in Fourways .Very nice hangout for tv buyers AND Sony left BUT Panasonic is back !!

Had a quick listen ....

Blade 2 pinpoint imaging on mids but lower end from side firing woofers in to small a room not optimal .I think they can be very impressive if given space.Side firing woofers.Personally I dont think thats optimal in design.Striking looking speakers though

Reference 5 Much bigger sound.Fuller sound.mids more body. Also to small a room and in the corners .Give them space and personally I would be able to tune them better than the Blade 2 .I think. Also, very striking design.

802/803s ...bit of Vivaldi which I cannot fault at all, pretty good .Initial quick impression is that the sound is more neutral than my knowledge of B&W.That's a good thing IMO .Lovely looking design too
I am a two way fan so 805s would be the one I would really like to listen to in depth.Quick impression on these are very positive.Have yet to see how they on the rhythmic front .. For my own ears I think 805s will work pretty well with my The Gryphon Callisto 2100.Will be a synergistic match, but proof is in the pudding ...

Also,I would LOVE to hear those 802s on those Manley Ref 500s floating around on our hi fi scene ... ;)

I think for the serious buyer who has around R100k to spend 805s should be on the short list....combined with the right electronics goes without saying.Tube amps need apply but beware of lowish impedance dip.30watt triode 60w UL should be sufficient.
