This is not the best pic. my apologies.
I've been seeking out and finding some old-school gems. Top silver integrated amp is a Technics SU-V2, featuring "New Class A" circuitry. This one's rated at 45Wpc. It sounds crystal clear, very much like a GainClone. IMO, it is better than a NAD 3020. I'm sure there are many such treasure that never got their due recognition back in the day. It is in very good condition, and I think this one's a keeper.
At the bottom you see a Sharp Optonica SO-9100 preamp and an SX-9100 amplifier. These I picked up for R299 "as-is". The fault? The SPEAKERS A right channel was dead. Cause? Blown relay (literally). The fix? Use SPEAKERS B!!!
The Optonica's are built really well, and they weigh a ton. They are each only 72mm high. The preamp is 35cm deep and the amp is 42cmm deep (practically square looking from the top. Inside the amp is a heat exchanger-type heatsink, complete with plumbing. This combo is a step up from my Nakamichi CA-7/Douglas Self-inspired monoblocks, I'm sad to admit (still need to find the weak link there), as they sound more "together" and in control. The Optonica pair seem to have been abused somewhat: The loudspeaker terminals are broken, and the amp has a broken button and some facial scarring. But it still is 0.3 grand very well spent!
