hey guys,
can someone give me a quick run down about these tv's. when it comes to decent quality what should one be focusing on - contrast ratio or resolution - i'm busy browsing the shops - lg 42" R8000 contrast ratio 2 000 000:1 then you get other tv's with a contrast ratio of 30 000:1 at R12 000 same size???
i understood from what i have heard from friends and colleagues - the resolution must be correct firstly then the contrast is supposed to be bigger = better quality e.g. 2 000 000:1 is better quality then 50 000:1 and so on - is that correct?
help - this is all too confusing, i've tried to wikipedia a explanation but that's just too hectic!
thanks
