A fellow I know is the maintenance engineer at an estate near Hermanus.  He is a retired electrician

Around the perimeter they have 55, 10 and 20 watt LED floods.  These are all attached to several day/night switches.  All properly installed with earthing, etc

He is finding that on average, these lamps last between 9 and 18 months.  Only 11 of the original 55 installed in 2016 have not been replaced

He has sourced them from various suppliers, Ellies, Future Light, ARB Electrical, Plumstead Electric.  All are advertised as outdoor lights and many claim to have a 50 000 hour life, which, at 9 hours a day, works out to 15 years.  Once they start flickering, then they will not come on the following night.

Some of the housings filled with water, so their IP65 rating is rubbish

Ellles claim to have a 10 year warranty.  6 lamps were returned to Ellies as not working. 4 aluminium ones were so corroded as to let in water and one was faulty out the box.  Ellies would only replace the DOD one and claimed the others had been irregularly used.  So their warranty is useless

His question is thus - what lamps, if any, will last the course of at least 1/3 of the advertised life?

None of the suppliers mentioned above will answer this
