Hi guys,
Scouting the vinyl kingdom to see if I can get a decent replacement for my 'shy' DV10x5. Following a great repair job by Skollie,the cart has decreased output,due to the nature of the repair (even tho it possibly sounds more refined)
Problem is,my new valve phono only has 37.5 dB gain,so I have to turn the vol way up to 3 o' clock to get any music going...
I hope to find something along the same signature as the 10x5 - i.e. musically involving and lively, rather than overly detailed/transparent/exciting.
Cart to play on a CA Concept.
Currently auditioning a well priced CA cart,but hoping to find something with a more 'soulful' tone..?
