Those in the know will know that I have been a Monitor Audio groupie for some time. Now having more exposure to B&W, I'm having a moment of enlightenment. Even though they're quite entry-level, I'm really impressed with the DM302s I have up for sale. The CDM-7NTs I own are also great. I've heard a lot about the 685s and would like to audition a pair ... but in my own home :roll:. I've listened to kit I've wanted on other people's systems too often and realize that things will not be the same back at my ranch - my room and equipment change things too much. So.... is there anyone with a pair of 685s or similar size or better B&W standmount who would allow me to loan the speakers for a weekend? The speakers will be well cared for and if there is any dispute about condition when I return them, I'll pay all costs or replace the speakers at my cost of course. Preferably someone close to the West Rand.

Alternatively I pay your fuel to bring your 685's/B&W standmounts to my place, plus throw in a few original audio take-home CDs. Then we can listen to your speakers and mine and you can go home with yours. I'm sure the session will be 1.5-2 hours.
