HI Guys,
Hoping one of the electricity Gurus here can help.
I have spot light bulbs throughout my house, i.e. the normal screw in spot bulbs (not the low voltage downlights). Problem is that I am going through light bulbs far too often. My bulbs are sometime lasting me less than a month (We only use the lights at night). When they do blow, the bulbs tend to blow when i turn on the lights, it lights up and pops basically. I use decent bulbs (I think), generally buy phillips bulbs.
Does anyone know if this could be being caused by something wrong/faulty with my wiring or power setup in the house? Its not an old house (about 15 years old) but i don't have too much faith in the idiots that built it....
Out of desperation once (as I had run out of bulbs), I used an energy saver bulb in the one fitting and that light has never blown since.
Thanks
