So as I got home yesterday, there is commotion in front of my house. A storm had just passed over the area. As I get out of the car, my two neighbors start walking over. The palm tree in my front yard had taken a direct hit and was still smoldering. Luckily they rushed over with a ladder and extinguished the flames. The power box across the street is a melted mess inside.
So I start checking for damage. First up my NAD HT receiver...gone, red light on the front. If you reset it and switch it on, it just gives a loud "bang" on the center channel and dies again. Replacement now would be the NAD T777 (second from the top). Luckily the other stuff are low value stuff that was connected the the network by copper (printer, routers etc.).
I have sent my insurance company (my contact there) an email to esquire the next steps. Anyone have experience with this?
