I plan to use a mix of old and new components for my "home theatre " system. I want to run HDMI directly from source to the TV for the video and the audio to be processed by an older ( ie pre HDMI ) generation processor via the TOSLINK interface.
Now will I have big issues with Audio / Video syncing ? Do I really need a processor which can delay the audio to that its time aligned to the video? The source and TV are current generation.
