Many years back I went to a whiskey bar in Umhlanga and I saw they had a locker than one could store liquor not yet finished. So, as opposed to paying R40.00 per shot, you could purchase the bottle at R800.00 and store it for the next time you were there. The whiskey bar eventually shut down, but ...
a) Do you think something like that would still work, especially with cheaper and more mainstream drinks like tequila or Jagermesiter ? Perhaps not at our ages - but think back to 20 something and going out with friends ... shooters every few rounds ... promo girls etc ... thinking that someone will say 'let's get the bottle as it's cheaper!'
b) Secondly - if a restaurant went ahead, do you think an electric RFID bracelet would work ? So, no one has access to the locker except the holder of the bracelet?
