This Past Friday Labour Day, Hans and yours truly took a drive out to Benoni.
Thanks for the drive Hans you are such a competent driver.
We paid a visit to The Listening Room.
We were greeted By Victor with some real old school Hospitality; what a real genuine Gent.
He has the most stunning set up there with 3 listening rooms all packed with some delicious goodies.
It is on the Second Floor of this stunning Old House with a great Tea Garden Restaurant on the ground floor. Stunning venue.
We were treated like kings even though we were just tire kickers, and treated to a marvelous afternoon tea in the garden.
We took a listen to some Egglestonworks Rosa speakers, some Eminent Technology LFT8-8A speakers, Sugden Masterclass amps a Carry valve amp and a Mitchell Turntable.
Stuff dreams are made of, he has some goodies there that made my mouth water.
We did not do much listening unfortunately, we were having so much fun, we spent more of the time chatting.
Thank you Victor you gave up your Public holiday for us two old Broke geezers.
You said you would be available from 10 till 1 we arrived after 11 and we were there till nearly 5; talk about taking the extra mile hope you made it to your movie.
Here is a real Hi-Fi Shop like days gone by, the Host Victor is a host of note. 12/10.
Nice to know there are still shops like this around full of the best of the best equipment, run by blokes with a love of music and and a real passion for Hi-Fi.
I have to make a return Visit; there is a Mitchell table sitting there that I am dreaming about.
:mates: :dop: Thanks Victor.
