Hi All. As the title suggested, I am getting quite concerned about the Onkyo that I have due to the continuous on/off cycles. The receiver never gets a chance to standby or sleep.
We follow the practice of switching it on/off manually before/after watching TV. This supposedly prevents any possible power surge (however, I am using the Clearline multi-plug surge protector).
My modified SW 350 watt inverter is only there to power the router, few lights and charging phones/laptops etc.
I have a lithium 108ah BN battery. I am thinking of getting a pure SW 1200 or 1500 watt inverter to keep first the receiver (and the TV, if possible) on 24x7.
I do not have budget for solar.
I am planning on to get something like followings (inverter and auto transfer switch):
12v Devel
Auto Transfer Switch
Will it work? Has anyone here done something like this?
My AV Receiver says 980 Watts at the back. Does it really consume that much power in stereo mode?
Any other suggestion anyone?
