I am in market for a great sander. I currently have a brilliant de Walt orbital (square), AEG orbital (round), AEG belt, Mouse (crap) and Ryobi orbital (rectangular) ... the Ryobi is really crap. I have used it once, and since then it is used as a paper weight.It tires out my hands immediately, and jump around like a donkey when I try to sand anything.
So I went to have a look at a few other sanders, and am considering the Makita 4900. I want a rectangular sander with a large flat surface that I can use for both finishing and aggressive sanding. Se also: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,2817.79.html
