Can any one suggest a cable that will allow for very low noise signal carrage?
My dsl at home is up to shi.. (guess i cant say that here)... is up to nonsense.
For the clever people:
Parameters
DSP Firmware Version DMT FwVer: 3.10.17.0_A_TC, HwVer:T14F7_5.0
DMT Status Up
Operational Mode ADSL G.DMT
Upstream 512 kbps
Downstream 2272 kbps
SNR Margin (Upstream) 9.0 db
SNR Margin (Downstream) 6.5 db
Line Attenuation (Upstream) 31.5 db
Line Attenuation (Downstream) 63.5 db

this by the way is a good night. I usually sync at 640, and have SNR down of 3 or 4db.
Needless to say, I am never online for more than 15 - 20 minutes.
and at 63.d db noise on downstream, I have no illusions of ever obtaining the 10mb lines they are bragging about, even though I can almost throw a stone on the roof of the exchange.

Now the house I bought is fairly old. (your regular fixer upper) So the phone line that runs into the house from the connection outside was installed somewhere in the 80's i think :p

I now want to replace that 4 or 5 meter cable, with cable that will offer me the best SNR, and maybe even fix a little of that attenuation problems

What will you guys suggest. Cable length will not be more than 4 or 5 meters.  When they installed the line, they replaced the cable that runs from the pole on the corner of the property, to the outside of the study. So that part should be okay...
