LP 12 Advice please

I picked up an old  Sondek LP12 ( looks like about a 74 model ) with an SME 3009 arm in pristine condition.

I have a Rega RB300 and a LINN Basik LVX lying around, so is it worth getting a new armboard and using one of these arms instead of the SME ?

Would these arms be an improvement or should I keep the SME and put a decent cartridge on it ?
