Landed this beauty recently. Deck was dead except for the led/neon strobe then suddenly started working but speed erratic and noticed that without the platter, spindle/motor turns abt a third revolution (and torque was lacking)...i.e its not a continuously turning spindle..but interrupted. Recapped power suppy and motor board and replaced a bad small sig diode. Same condition noted as above..but when the platter is attached speed is smooth as a bell and spindle turns consistently..provides momentum. Belt for arm drive still to be replaced. Do these motors work this way..or am I still sitting with a fault? Currently set up with an ATN3710 cart..(stylus needed) is this suitable and how does it compare to the 95e? Should i invest in a new stylus or fit a different cart?
