This is quite a nifty idea that is currently an Indiegogo campaign - the TEA portable amp/DAC.
It is an ultra thin Sabre ESS DAC and headphone amp that attaches to the back of your iPhone via the Magsafe feature (magnets used to link the phone to the wireless charger).
Power wise it delivers 165mW at 32ohms and can drive headphones up to 300ohms. The Sabre DAC supports 32/384 PCM streams and up to DSD256.
