Seeing as my amp has been stuck in customs for 2 months with the SAPO mess, I'm dieing of boredom so need another project. This one has been on my list for as long as I can remember.. so now's as good a time as any to do it and relive some of my misspent youth

I'm thinking of using this as a base plan : http://www.arcadecab.com/CabinetPlans2/CabinetPlans2_Background.html
Will need some adjustments as everything is in inches though  :RTFM:

Buttons and Joysticks I'll get here : http://www.eurasianamusements.co.za/

For the insides I have a microserver and LCD that I'll strip down and use. For the controller I'll hack a keyboard using this guide : http://www.mameworld.info/net/emuadvice/keyhack2.html

The software I'll be using is ubuntu with a simple "apt-get install mame" command. Tested it the other night on a liveUSB accessing my NAS as a filestore and it worked just fine.
And that should be it....

Has anyone done it before? Any suggestions or tips? Any other suppliers/plans I can try?

Cheers
Shaun
