I hate manual boxes for various reasons
1) Traffic , such a schlep
2) No torque converter (which is actually a torque multiplier) so in a manual you have to slip the clutch
3) More things to do when driving briskly with a manual
4) I can program my auto boxes from slush box to rip your head off shifts and downshifts
5) Faster acceleration than a manual - due to torque multiplication - no drag cars use manuals
6) CVT auto boxes are very efficient , and these days with lock up convertors , so are auto boxes
7) No paddle shifts with a manual
8) hill starts a breeze with autos
9) I use 2 foot driving , cant do that with a manual
10) No clutch issues or replacement expenses
Most of my stuff is 5.7l and beyond with lots of torque , no need at all for a manual , I can understand using a manual in cars pushing out wimpy hp figures tho...
