I will be getting my hands on a Marantz 1060 and a pair of if I'm not mistaken Marantz HD88. Does anyone know of this equipment? Did some reading up last night and the amp has received some good write ups and user reviews.
The equipment has been unused for a good 10 years if not more but looks in top nick.
The speakers need to have the foam surrounds repaired from what I saw last night and the cabinets have scratches here and there.
I'm going to check it on Sunday to see if the amp switches on. Any advice on what else I should look at or should do before switching on the amp?
Can I try the speakers even with the foam damaged to see if they even work at all?
This will be my first vintage equipment so looking forward to it!
