So I'm not goin to make mention of my older marantz equipment for obvious reasons - it was old.
However my experience with the newer stuff has not been any different.
My SR7005 receiver would constantly off until I returned it permanently for a Denon. Recently I got a brand new UD5007 blu ray player (retails for R9990) and after two weeks, it wouldn't play dvd or blu ray but it played cd.
The frustrating thing here is that when they do work, they are amazing sounding pieces of av equipment.
Ofcourse I may just be the unlucky one here, my advice anyway, would be:
Don't buy marantz stuff that's out of warranty
Make sure the dealer you buying from is close by cos u may have to keep dropping it off.
Just putting it out there, use it don't use it
