Morning all.
The handset of my Marantz cd5001 is playing up.
Some of the buttons do not 'work' anymore. You press, but no response or command from the CDP.
Those which still function give undesired commands. For instance, when I press 5 it powers off. Many other bizarre issues. The play button opens the disc tray, etc.
Now, there is no battery leakage at all. The remote control unit itself is not that old. All buttons are still very responsive to the touch. All labels perfectly visible.
The buttons on the player itself work fine.
This started two weeks after moving the cdp from my man cave to the lounge.
What could be the problem?
