Need a little help here.
I have a Marantz SM 80 amplifier that used to drive my surround speakers.
It has been collecting dust for some time and I recently tried to fire it up..no sound and peak indicator light stays on for a while.
It has always taken a minute or three before there was sound but it worked well before going being relegated to the cupboard.
A friend suggested to leave it on for a while if it has been in storage...no luck,it powers up but no sound.
Is it worth fixing up as I may want to use it in my study.
