We have sold three units of the Performer, and here are some photos and specifications:
This was the first iteration of 50 watt per channel fixed bias KT88 push-pull amplifier.
In a rather unique configuration we designed an integrated amplifier with a tube phono stage in the front. 2 x 6SL7's does the RIAA conversion and the 6SN7 does the drive task.
The next iteration used 12BH7 tubes as drivers, as a matter of fact, two 12BH7's per side (4 in total).
The Ukraine war made KT88's momentarily scarce, and we did a design with 807 output tubes. It was a opportunity to do a design with 600VDC on the anodes and 300V on the screen grids. We also wound the output transformers with 12% cathode feedback taps.
The design was shifted to a power amp design. In stead of three transformer covers, we went with a single large box concept. VU's included on customer's request. The results were promising, and we're waiting for critical listening reports.
