I read somewhere (may have been on this forum) that movies are usually mastered to sound best in an acoustically dead environment. This makes some sense to me as cinemas tend to have carpeted floors &  walls, cloth sets with lots of bodies in them etc. Apparently music, however, is generally mastered to sound good in a more acoustically "live" environment. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, should I try to make my TV room with my HT setup more acoustically dead than my lounge where my stereo system lives?
