Hi!
Needing some advise....
I recently had an offer I could not resist: brand new, out of the box, Mission MV-C and Mission MV-DS speakers at bargain basement prices. ;D ;D I always tell people if you don't need it, its not a bargain.....these were though. : Not exactly audiophile stuff, but kick all kinds of things out of my old chipboard-and-spit Sony's (which I've put to pasture on Gumtree).
As they are the only Mission speakers I own, I now don't have a matching set of HT speakers-running my Monitor Audion B2's alongside the Missions. Based on some limited music video watching, I don't judge them to be a stellar combination. I've always liked the sound of the Mission M32's though....would it be OK as a match or is it simply best to go straight to the MV range? Which I have never heard...but then is it important, seeing as I'm actually just meaning to go flat-out for my stereo set-up in the next room?
Btw, the TV room is pretty small - 3.5x4 but has double arches on the one side and a door leading out on the other.
I don't expect many people have had both the MV and M series speakers, but I'm trying to find out if there's some rule of thumb that would make it possible to (roughly) say whether speakers would match without actually hearing them playing together (although that will always be the final proof).
Again, your comments and advise is appreciated!
