Just got my hands on one of these little gems.
Having had previous experience with the tube magic dac, I was curious to see how this little amp would perform.
Was previously using a NAD C352 amp, which I thought was not bad.
I hooked up my Sota Moonbeam to a recently acquired Yaqin mc12 phono stage to the Mav A1, speakers are rather large Mission MX5's.
All I can say is wow compared to the NAD, music is now an absolute pleasure to listen too, very detailed, precise and accurate.
By no means is this a party system for loud music, more like a stereo system for listening pleasure.
If anyone is wanting to get into tubes relatively cheap, then this is the way to go.
Paid $199 + $40 for shipping, was here in 5 days.
Rolled some other tubes to see if there would be an improvement over stock tubes....not really, stock tubes are pretty good.
