Hi guys
I've been looking at getting a few media players for the house. And I'd just thought I'd check here if anyone had any recommendations.
I want to run a plex server from my study. The house is basically wired for Ethernet already. From my study the house is linked with a 24 port gigabit unmanaged switch.
I want to be able to stream Netflix and Hulu. But mainly use plex and have a central media source instead of lugging a hard drive between media players.
I will be getting 4 (main bedroom, living room/tv room, flatlet and my man cave), but may add more at a later stage for the other bedrooms.
I'm leaning towards the roku 3s. I can get them for R1350 brand new. As this will allow Plex, Netflix and hulu etc... And the roku 4s only advantage it seems is UHD and maybe slightly faster...
I've only had experience with a wd TV live. However it doesn't have Plex AFAIK.
Is the roku the best bet for the cinema, or should I look at a media pc? It will be the only room with 5.1 surround sound.
I plan on pulling the trigger, so to speak, fairly soon.
Thanks for the help!
Regards
