Hi there guys,
I am going to be writing a review on the MFW-15 subwoofer very soon. I ordered two of them. It looks like I'm going to be the first person in Africa to be reviewing them. I should get them next week. Some of the members at the AV123 forum have been waiting close to a year to receive their units.

Over at AVSforum (the sister forum to Home Theater Forum), a member there by the alias "Craigsub" carried out the monumental task of reviewing all the top tier subwoofers, some internet direct, some commercial.

According to his testing, the MFW-15 scored higher output numbers and less distortion than the Velodyne DD-18. Not only that, subjectively, Craigsub scored the MFW-15 higher than the Velodyne for music. Consider that the Velodyne retails for around R50000.00. : All his subjective evaluations were carried out by a panel of audiophile judges. The objective testing results consist of distortion limited measurements, ground plane.
So for those of you who have been reading up on the AV123 forum's or at AVS, I'll be getting the first pair of MFW-15's for review real soon. I can't wait.
