Would anyone know for how long a 900W microwave oven capacitor will hold its charge?
I have recently replaced a cool-looking Sansui (LG?) oven with a new item after the Sansui stopped heating. Most of the functions still work - ie its display, clock, platter rotation and fan except it doesn't heat.
I don't want to wade in there because of the capacitor's potentially lethal charge. The oven has been disconnected from the ac for about 25 days. I don't think it has a blown fuse. If this has blown, the working display, platter rotation and fan probably wouldn't work.
Would you think it would be safe to check out a few things like the door latch switch after 25 days without ac?
Thanks
