We have a Defy convection microwave oven.
We don't really use the element on top. It's like two glass tubes with a wire inside each one.
It was working fine.
Until I selected "bake" to do a couple of chopped up potatoes. After about two minutes the DB tripped.
If I plugged it in with the door open .... the display came on without tripping.
As soon as I closed the door it tripped again.
Opened it up outside, cleaned those glass type elements, blew out some dust and gave it a general clean. The magnetron and capacitor are not that old .... I think ? I remember replacing those about 5 or 6 years ago.
After putting it back and selecting a "normal one minute" ..... it worked for about 45 seconds and then tripped again.
Any ideas on where to start looking ? All very clean inside.
