i am currently using a linn axis with a basik arm, a sumiko pearl cartridge, & a project phono 2 phono stage.
i have now bought a croak phono stage, currently set up for mc, with the intention of having hiphibian convert it to mm.
however - phase - who i bought the croak from has tried to phone me (sorry phase - i get horrifically bad reception at my place) to discuss the option of keeping the stage as is, and rather going to an mc cartridge.
- is this a more sensible route?
- any compatibility issues with the linn?
- what are my options with an mc cartridge?
- budget for an mc?
- gains iro sound?
