Hi All

Firstly let me say, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to hi-fi, I generally use my system for home theater but do enjoy "good" sound.
Most of the audio I listen to is stored on a hard drive connected to the USB port.  The format is ALAC or MP3 (usually at least 256kbps) I also a a few FLAC files.
I watch blu-rays via a PS 3, and TV via a DSTV Explorer

I have a Yamaha RX-A3010 HT amp, basic spec:
    Amplifier Section Channel 9.2
    Rated Output Power (1kHz, 2ch driven) 165W (8ohms, 0.9% THD)
    Rated Output Power (20Hz-20kHz, 2ch driven) 150W (8ohms, 0.06% THD)
Dynamic Power per Channel (8/6/4/2 ohms) 175/220/295/410 W

And B&W 683's as the main speakers, a B&W 610XP sub, CM S2 center and Kef KHT2005.3 5.1 which I use as rear surrounds in a 5.1 setup.
Recommended amplifier power 25W - 200W into 8Ω on unclipped programme

The AMP is configured for zone 2 and zone 3, which then does not allow for bi-amping.
The room is quite large ~80sqm (5m x 16m); it's an open plan lounge dining and kitchen area.

The sound, in my opinion isn't too bad, it can get loud but it's not fulfilling.
Although I can't identify exactly what the problem is, my current theory is that the room is simply too big to fill with sound for a real subversive listening experience?

I was wonder if adding mono-blocks or a stereo power amp would make a difference by "driving" the speakers better, or do you guys think the amp is strong enough for the speakers?
Should I rather look at and an alternate source for my media?
