Sitting thinking last night of the prices we pay for power amplifiers...
Seen I am a registered dealer with a few suppliers,I was thinking of doing this....
The following Amplifier I have great faith in..It has proved to be reliable and true work horse for the money.
HYBRID A5000
8Ohm Setreo Power ,RMS/CH 1300W
4Ohm Setreo Power ,RMS/CH 2000W
2Ohm Setreo Power ,RMS/CH 2200W
8Ohm Bridged Mono Power, RMS 4000W
4Ohm Bridged Mono Power, RMS 4400W
Frequency Response (+/- 3dB, 1W/8O) 20Hz ? 20KHz +/- 1dB
Protection DC Protection, Short Circuit Protection, Thermal Protection, Inrush Current Protection, Soft Start Portection, Input & Overload Protection
THD+N (20Hz-20KHz) <0.5%
Damping Factor (1KHz @ 8O) >700
Hum & Noise(?A? weighted, -80dBW) 95dB
Input Impedance (Balanced / Unbalanced) 20K Ohm / 10K Ohm
Crosstalk (20Hz-20KHz Rated Power 8O) >60dB
Cooling 2 x Fans, Dual speed, Rear to Front Airflow
Input Connectors Jack/Female XLR Neutrik Combo + Male XLR Neutrik
Output Connectors 3 x Neutrik Speakon
Dimensions (WxHxD) mm 482 x 489 x 132
Weight Kg 38
Now this amp will set me back between R11000 to R15000
All The insides just shy of R8500
This consists of the following
L+R Power amplifer modules (18 Toshiba High Gain Transistors per chanel)
Toroidal Transformer (Will cause load shedding)
Power board (Towers of Caps)
Input/Pre amp board (clip/Bridge/Crossover settings etc)
Digital Lcd display controll panel (Temp display, amp state, built in Dsp as well)
Thinking if it will be worth it building my own casing/housing for it? or just spending the extra 4+ and getting the complete amp :nfi:
I really do want to do this build tho..will be a monster! :flame:
