More HDMI Issues

Hi Forum members, I'm tearing my hair out: As posted previously, I had a lightning strike which whacked the HDMI on my NAD. As an interim I took out an Onkyo TX-NR809 I bought from IDM a few years ago. It was working fine for a few weeks and yesterday the HDMI quality suddenly degraded significantly. I tested many different sources on each port and both outputs using more than one TV. The result is always the same, it looks like a BBS image from 1988.

Any help or suggestions?

Is it broken?
