So Woolies has a clever marketing ploy, the 'Buy 2 save R10' thing. Occasionally it's 'Buy 2 save X%'. Works great, all automated and usually very slick and accurate. Being a sucker for a bargain, I tend to go for these.
Today I bought some wine for a braai this evening, they had a Paul Cluver Pinot at R100 a pop marked as 'Buy 2 save 20%'. At the till I see the discount go off = R10 a bottle.
Second time this has happened, first time was for about R10, I didn't feel like the hassle of sorting it out. This time I did...maybe they're slipping these 'mistakes' in on purpose?
