Hi Guys'
I was interested to see if anyone has noticed this:i recently acquired a hard drive full of music, all in different formats, whilst listening to some MP3's 128kbps i have noticed a huge difference in quality between other MP3's of the same kbps IE 128 kbps, now i have two theories
1) the quality of the audio was poor to start with or
2) the software used to encode the mp3's can effect the outcome of the audio
I have recently finished ripping all my Cd's to flac almost 500 of them, and i did notice when i tried different ripping software packages the one package was consistently softer than the other across the different genre's of music,so basically my question is can the software make a huge difference in the quality of the rip?Anyone got any other theories ?
Regards
