When in doubt I do blind listening with a friend/wife/companion dog doing the A/B switching. When I get more than a 60/40 split in preference then I go with my ears. It's a quick and simple way to avoid listening to equipment, or sample rates with one's eyes which I have managed to prove to myself on many occasions, sways my views (if a thing looks good and costs a lot, I find an innate inbuilt bias!). Blind listening removes all that. Sometimes without the desired result I will admit, but that, as with many things, is life.</p></blockquote><p></p>
