My first visit to an optometrist resulted in trial multifocal contact lenses (and readers) a few hour ago.
I'm far sighted, with my left eye needing quite a bit of magnification, though I can spot game miles away and read the logos on high flying aircraft.
Put the contacts in. No sweat, comfy enough, though things didn't look normal. Optometrist said I'll adjust.
Drove off with all the close up stuff looking sharp, but.... the rest was crap and blurry, like I needed to visit an optometrist URGENTLY. Couldn't read numberplates and signs if they weren't a couple of metres ahead.
Was out and about for a bit and it seemed to get worse, like my eyes were experiencing mild hysteria. Even close up was giving s^*t at times.
People I was talking to must have thought I am a shifty fella as I couldn't help but let my eyes wander, looking for something in focus.
Called the optometrist said to trial them at home (less risk of accidents) first.
Couldn't wait to get the f!@#$s out.

I know I'm not normal, but is this normal?
