I want to know if anyone knows how I can stream media (DivX, mp3, etc.) from my PC via Ethernet or 802.11 wireless to my AV receiver. I've seen on some Yamaha AV receivers (like the Z11) that you could plug an ethernet cable directly into the back of the amp, and control (I'm assuming now) playback of media on your PC with your remote control.

I came across a device from MVIX http://www.mvix.co.za/specifications_mx-780hd.htm that has a built in harddrive for storing media on the device, or receives media via a network, and outputs to video (component, composite, S-Video, HDMI) and audio (analog  RCA L/R, digital coaxial and optical). It supports MPEG, AVI, DivX, WMV, AC3, MP3, WMA, internet radio, JPEG, etc. Needless to say, having a device that is designed to play DivX and mp3, HDMI video would be useless, as DivX is highly compressed would not be high definition video (please correct me if I am wrong here).

I don't need a harddrive or digital coax/optical or HDMI. I would like a basic device that has a network plug as an input and three component plugs as an output, so that I can stream digital media (like DivX movies or mp3s) from my pc through my AV receiver. A remote control would be an absolute bonus.

Any ideas?
