Music Conversion Software : Suggestions Please

I need some advice on which software to use for conversion of flac files to mp3. I previously used dbpoweramp but my trail period has expired. Part of this package was a conversion tool which worked nicely when ripping cd to flac and immediately after ripping has completed convert the files to mp3 at a chosen bitrate. Should I p[purchase dbPoweramp or use other freeware software. Suggestions welcome please. Thanks Guys
