As a die-hard stereophile I was ever reluctant to use a subwoofer to compensate for extra bass presentation in my system especially for recordings that lacked some low frequency extension. Having listened to the SVS 1000 recently I find myself leaning towards the appreciation of this sub. The SVS integrated very well with other frequencies and did not dominate sound.
If I were to seriously consider the application of a sub in my stereo system, which other sub(s) would match the musicality of the SVS or even perform better than it.....
