Its been in the planning for a long time but recent events at my work have pushed up the schedule. I was recently handed my 189 letter and I'm currently waiting to hear if I will still be employed in a month from now.
My wife asked me why I was not working on my CV and searching the job sites. I tried that for about 30 min before I realized that I did not want another job. I wanted to be more in control.
Its basically a paint manufacturing business. The idea is to run a factory shop with 1 or 2 permanent reps. The target market is contractors, building maintenance and small business. We will take retail and direct sales where we can.
My thinking is that as long as we provide a good product at a fair price with good service as the key we cant go wrong.
