As some of you might have read, I changed my setup in preparation for our new house.
I just wanted to share a quick review of the new stuff.
Harman Kardon HK-980 Integrated:
Excellent looking unit. Mellow and relaxed sound. Very well balanced.
Very, very good Phono Stage. :thumbs:
In fact, I disconnected and packed away the ProJect PhonoBox II...
Harman Kardon BDP-10:
Also good looking unit. CD playback very good. Other formats excellent.
B&W 683:
Warm, relaxed and mellow. Full-stop.
Well put together cabinets and nice big plinths.
Update on my "sold" stuff:
dstrauss: bought the Unison Research and is very happy with his purchase. You guys should see this guy's ride though!!!! :thumbs: ;D
Robert_E: bought the Klipsch RF-82's and is not as happy as both of us hoped. Needless to say, they will probably be back on sale soon.
It is probably equipment matching and maybe the RF's just does not like his Amp.
Cambridge Audio 740C is on the 2nd-hand shelf at HiFi Installations at a very good deal. :thumbs:
