Hi guys,

As you know, have they done some affirmative shoping at my place about six weeks ago. Well, only got the go ahead to replace my stuff this week. So yesterday I picked out a new system for myself. In the mean time I bought a Yamaha RXV495 6.1 ch receiever and some R700 sony DVD player just to have something to keep my kids occupied while I was doing some traveling. This little setup does not actually sound bad on movies, but its terrible with music.

Yesterday I went to purchase a real HiFi though, (I hope   ). But I purchaced blind. In shopping around I could not form a real oppinion since all the demo's were done in their listening rooms and on their speaker. Anyway, I went for a NAD T973 power amp, with a T524 DVD player and NAD C521 cd player. I have a Mr. Valve pre-amp at home that I intent to use with this setup. The amp is rated 140W RMS into 8 ohms with all 7 channels driven. I plan to go active on my TL's one day. I  will drive each drive unit with its own amp, and the remaining channel will be used to drive the sub.

Going from Arcam to NAD might not sound so great to any audio snob, but having 7 channels to my disposal should make up for that. :D

The amp and the CD player have to come from CT, so I'm still waiting for it.
