Here are the pics of my panels , no one can have an excuse not to treat their listening area , they have WAF appeal. Should maybe under room treatments , but I thought they might have relevance to a broader audience ..so under general
The frame is made out of SA pine , and a special secret battening/material was used as the absorbent layer..Alleycat made them up using his patented recipe..he has done exhaustive listening and measuring tests to get just the right stuff..no use reinventing the wheel
The panels are printed on a very open digital print media - with my large format Roland cut and print machine. The material is self adhesive which made it relatively easy to stretch over the frames. No stapling required. I have taken some close ups of the media so you can see the perforation , resolution is gopod on the non perforated areas..but obviously you wont get as good as on a solid media. I went with this media because trying to print on white burlap was becoming a mission.
The sides of the panel is covered in an oak grain laser cut Formica , so they dont look ugly from the side.. a zillion colours of formica are available so it needn;t be oak..just the rest of my room is light coloured oak.
The front frame is laser cut gold and black mirror (the semi circles which fit in a bit with the art deco theme running thru the room are black mirror) I could have also used 50mm wide picture framing stuff , which is also available in a zillion profiles and colours/finishes.
The finished size is 1m x 500mm..non standard (1200x600) but thats what I wanted
No pics of them mounted on the walls yet - will get to that this weekend
To see the original images etc.. look here

I wanted the 4 musicians , but when it was printed , it didn't look that good...
Here is the room they going into - between square windows
Here are the 3 panels , photography doesnt do them justice
Just a different perspective on one of them
Some close ups of the printing and media
The corner frame detail..shiny stuff difficult to shoot
Close up of the side treatment
