After selling off all my stereo stuff I decided I would start an SQ car audio build in my Golf III GTi. It's something I've always been interested in and started a few years ago and never finished.

What I have decided on is the 6.5" 2 way split system coupled with a sub in the boot.

The gear I have ordered is as follows and should make for a pretty decent setup, I hope...

DLS RS6 Splits -> http://dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_68
DLS CA 41 amplifier -> http://dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_103
JL Audio 12W0 12" 300 RMS woofer -> http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=42
Kenwood KDC-5751 head unit -> http://www.kenwood.eu/products/car/receivers/cd/KDC-5751SD/
Stinger 4 guage wiring kit -> http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/6997809/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046

So far I have built the new floor for the boot, stripped out all the old wiring and I have removed all the seats apart from the rear seat backs as they need to be in place for the sub box measurements which will be done on Wed. I have decided to re-wire the entire audio setup from scratch as well as remove the stock loom.

I'll post a few pics as soon as i have put the kids to bed, i have a 10kg 7 month old on my lap and it's proving difficult to type;)
